Description:
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we continue to reflect on the PR lessons learned from our area’s history. The tragic events of September 11, 2001, underscored the critical role of public relations and communications professionals in moments of national crisis. From delivering accurate information amid uncertainty to supporting leadership, employees, and the public, communicators were essential in guiding response, fostering trust, and providing clarity during one of the most challenging times in modern history.
This session reflects on the contributions and lessons learned while also examining the continued importance of prioritizing mental health for those who serve on the front lines of crisis communication. Attendees will gain insights into the vital need for mental health support when navigating high stakes, emotionally charged situations.
