PPRS is pleased to recognize Clara Weber as the winner of our 2022 scholarship. A rising junior at York College of Pennsylvania, Weber majors in mass communication major with a theatre minor.
Excelling in the classroom, Weber has made dean’s list every semester of her college career. Actively involved in the WVYC campus radio station, she serves as music director and functions as an audio-video tutor for other students. Her future plans focus on bringing together storytelling and human connection through mass communication.
According to Jeffrey Schiffman, instructor of audio and radio production and WVYC faculty radio station manager, Weber is “an extremely focused, loyal and dedicated individual who gets the job done. Projects and assignments are always completed on time, with a professional polished look that rivals any television or movie production. Clara is a great team player…going over and above, again and again.”
Mass communication professor Craig Do’Vidio adds, “Clara Weber is one of the finest students I have ever had the privilege of working with. She has worked with several groups on campus to help them create content to promote their organization. As WVYC music director, she is part of the management team that plans and executes promotional events for the radio station.”
Weber’s exceptional qualifications in the field of communications and public relations, demonstrate the academic excellence, experience, leadership, and character meriting this $1,000 scholarship award. Congratulations, Clara!
