As the air turns crisp and we enter the season of thankful reflection, I find myself at a loss to express just how truly grateful I am to the amazing 2020 PPRS volunteers. Whether you served as an officer, contributed as a committee chair, joined us as a speaker or performed one of the other half dozen roles that this organization could not function without, please know that your efforts are recognized and appreciated.
From my point of view, every single PPRS volunteer stepped up this year, especially given the truly unprecedented circumstances. I asked a lot of you and you all delivered – every time. It has been a pleasure working with each of you. I consider you all to be exceptional professionals and incredible individuals.
I am fortunate that the success of PPRS is a culmination of our collective efforts. As difficult as this year has been, all of you were willing to embrace new ideas and seek solutions to unforeseen challenges. For that, from the bottom of my heart, let me say: Thank you.
PPRS is still seeking volunteers to fill a variety of leadership positions in 2021. As I said in the August President column, PPRS offered me the opportunity to gain experience in the communications field, refine my skills and build a network of area professionals. A leadership role might seem like a big commitment, especially in these uncertain times. I encourage you to overcome any trepidation and grow by embracing a new challenge. Please email Christine at farley.christine@gmail.com to discuss opportunities for next year.
