April Survey Feedback
Friends and fellow PPRS members,
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the recent PPRS survey. Your responses provided valuable insight into how PPRS can best serve you in the midst of this unprecedented public health crisis.
Below are a few key takeaways:
- April Meeting
PPRS will hold a virtual meeting at the end of April. Two times were identified as preferable by survey respondents – noon or early evening (6:00 to 7:00 p.m.) As a way to thank our members for joining or renewing, the registration price for these meetings will be $5 for members. Also keep in mind that, even if you cannot attend at the designated time, the meetings are recorded and sent to individuals who register. You can watch them at your convenience. Please look for more information – including speaker, topic and event time – in the very near future. - Candidates for Membership Voting
For the time being, voting on new members will occur following our monthly meetings, in our event recap survey. Please be sure to respond to the survey and cast your vote. We request that any non-member who receives the post-meeting survey selects the option to abstain from the vote. This method may be adjusted in the coming months. - PPRS Scholarship Recipient
As you may have noticed in our recent newsletter, the 2020 PPRS scholarship has been awarded to Shayla Gaither of Albright College. We plan to postpone recognition of the recipient until we can invite her to an in-person meeting. - NEW – PPRS Solution Sessions
In an attempt to be responsive to members’ needs, we are planning some roundtable-like virtual discussions, during which participants will examine challenges that other members of the group are facing and brainstorm to find possible solutions. Questions will be submitted by registrants prior to the meeting and moderators will guide the discussion. We are initially offering this free to members and limiting registration to the first 10 individuals who sign up. Because space is limited, we do ask that everyone who registers prioritize attending these meetings. Look for more details soon. We anticipate that the first session will take place in early May.
Again, thank you so much for sharing your time and opinions with us. I encourage anyone with questions or suggestions to reach out to me directly. We are committed to offering value to our members in the wake of this pandemic.
Be well,
Carolyn
