Please join us in celebrating the contributions PPRS has made to our field and the impressive accomplishments of one of our own at the Annual Evening of Honors on Thursday, November 7, as we return to Susquehanna Club.

Established in 1991, the Ernest R. McDowell Award for Excellence in Public Relations recognizes an individual for sustained excellence in the field of public relations. It is presented annually at the PPRS Evening of Honors in memory of the late senior vice president of Marketing and Corporate Relations with Capital (now UPMC Pinnacle) Health System, Ernest R. McDowell, who set the standard for professionalism and community service with his good works and lifetime example. 

Honoring: This year’s honoree is Jason Kirsch, APR, a well-accomplished and highly respected senior level public relations professional with experience in strategic planning, building brands, leading campaigns and providing communications counsel including leadership roles at Capital BlueCross, Metro Bank and PR Works. Jason also holds the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential and is an instructor for the APR program nationally. Join us for an evening of celebration, recognition and mingle with all of your PPRS colleagues.

  • 7:00 p.m. Dinner & Program

  • PPRS Members: $50 each (+ $1.75 online transaction fee)
  • PPRS Members + Spouses/Significant others: $90 per couple (+ $2.91 online transaction fee)
  • Non-Members: $60 each (+ $2.04 online transaction fee)
